Al Usool Min Ilim Usool

Al-Uṣūl min ‘Ilm al-Uṣūl is a book in uṣūl al-fiqh. It is a concise introductory text by Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn that explains the fundamental principles used to derive Islamic rulings from the Qur’an and Sunnah, such as types of evidence, commands and prohibitions, general and specific texts, abrogation, consensus, analogy, and ijtihād. It is widely studied by beginner students of knowledge because of its clarity and strong grounding upon the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah.
