Sharh Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah

Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah by Ibn Taymiyyah is a concise yet comprehensive creed outlining the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jama‘ah. Written in response to a request for clarification, it affirms pure Islamic monotheism (tawḥīd), belief in Allah’s names and attributes without distortion or denial, faith in the angels, books, messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree. It also stresses obedience to the Prophet ﷺ, following the Qur’an and Sunnah, unity upon the truth, and avoiding innovations. The treatise became one of the most important summaries of Sunni creed and is widely studied for its clarity and precision.
