Kitab at-Tawheed
Kitab at-Tawhid by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab is a foundational work in Islamic creed that focuses entirely on the concept of Tawheed (the oneness of Allah) and what protects or contradicts it. The book is structured as chapters that explain different aspects of shirk (associating partners with Allah), such as supplicating to other than Allah, seeking protection from created beings, showing off in worship, and relying on anything besides Allah in matters only He controls. Each chapter is supported with verses from the Quran and hadith to show how strictly Tawheed must be preserved in both belief and action. The central message is that all worship must be directed to Allah alone without intermediaries, and that safeguarding Tawheed is the most important obligation in Islam, because it is the foundation upon which all deeds are accepted or rejected.
